It was my favorite game until I played a demo of "Rome Total War" along with that one in 04, I got into a MMORPG called "Star Wars Galaxies" where I got my boy hood fantasy of living in the Star War universe. I've also been a huge fan of the GTA series after playing them on the first playstation. My prefered platform is PC, and truly believe is at least three year ahead of console games. I still play "Star Wars Galaxies" on a emulator server, but it doesn't have the charm it used to without space. Right now first and foremost my favorite is "Rome 2 Total War " I've logged over 700 hours since its release in September of 2013. I'm obsessed with ancient Rome, and think my girlfriend and I fell in love when we were both able to name August Octavian's sister Octavia in unison one night.

I'm currently playing "Metal Gear Solid 5; The Phantom Pain" I've never been a huge fan of the series, but decided to try it based on a review I watched. When I first started playing I wasn't overly impressed, but I'm glad I didn't give up on it. It looks beautiful, and think it could give PC games a run for their money. The concept of modern technology in the mid 80's is a little much for me, especially when he is using something like a smartphone, and getting briefings on cassette tapes. Plus the idea of using hot air balloons to extract potential recruits, and equipment is a little cheesy. But I'm having a great time running around northern Afghanistan, and harassing Soviet troops. I've only completed 4% so far and cannot put it down. I even find myself thinking about how to sneak past Soviet check points in bed before falling sleep. Unfortunately my laptop is getting old, and can't really handle new games anymore, but I don't want to get a new one and have to deal with windows 10. So I guess its console gaming until a better PC operating system compatible with games become available. Thanks for reading, this is Elliot signing out.

I've been playing video games my whole life. My parents had an Atari before they had me. There was a game called Pitfall that I played as a toddler. I was six when I got my first gaming console, it was the very first Sega. I can't believe how much gaming has changed since they were first produced, I heard one person say, and I quote that "the holodeck is here" after trying virtual reality. I grew up on the Legend of Zelda, and after playing "Golden Eye" on N64 I got into first person shooters. One of my favorites was a released on PC back in 2001 called "Operation Flashpoint". The graphics were awful, but I played that game till 2008. My favorite genre is strategy after playing "Age of Empires 2" on PC back in 2002, playing it sequel "Age of Mythology" non stop after its release in 03.

Another genre of game I like is flight simulators. I used to play a game called "US Navy Fighters", and I've also found a phenomenal project by a group of dedicated flight SIM enthusiasts called "Falcon BMS". They have taken falcon 4.0 released in the late 90's and updated the graphics. This is as close to the real thing as you can get. Another flight SIM I loved as a kid was "Microsoft Space simulator", which fueled my interest in space exploration. So in 2013 I was very excited to hear about my other favorite, a space SIM called "Kerbal Space Program". This one combines space flight and rocket science. I've logged over 1,000 hours on that one, and neglected my girlfriend all of that summer. Creating my own rockets, orbital station, and bases; then successfully flying them is one of the most satisfying thing I've done in a game. The physics engine is very realistic, each celestial body has its own orbital mechanics, and gravitational characteristics.
